Two centuries since the first year,
when emperors reigned the world.
The East held all the treasures:
spices, jewels, and silk.
The West held all the means:
legions, courage, and honor.
And the Middle empires, two in number,
held the road that united them.
In the West a man named Valerius
wished to marry a Western woman.
"I will marry you," she said, "and in exchange,
give me the silk that grows in Eastern lands."
Valerius promised a month's absence,
then rode on the fabled road.
He arrived in the Middle, asked for passage,
but the guard asked for Valerius' purpose.
"I enter in peace, no attempt to conquer,
I carry no sword

I'm...getting married...
...Hmm, well I never had the thought when I was still around... [smiles lightly] I still think that Rome had one too many knocks on his head when he went to battle;; and he still is rough around the edges. But with him following me everywhere it actually started to become charming in a way... [ looks away for a moment ] Ofcourse I still won't look past what he did to my lands...[ snorts with a huff ] But he will find redemption ill be sure of that! I guess combining empires is after all a good logical choice... [ smiles faintly ] but rest assured I do love him...
But I still know he's going to get carried away;;

History:
The Romans believed that the Roma was founded in the year 753 BC by the two sons of the gods Romulus and Remus. Both of the boys were taken in by a female wolf, surviving of her milk until they were founded by Faustulus- a shepherd who took the boys into his family and raised them. Later on the boys were said to have a brawl and in the end Romulus killed Remus, due to this Romulus ended up naming the great empire of Roma after himself (though there are many different stories about Romulus and Remus). Modern historians believe Roma was actually founded in the year 625 BC. It was said to be a city for anyone- outcasts mostly- which was a large number at the time.
Early Rome was governed by kings, but after only seven of them had ruled, the Romans took power over their own city and ruled themselves. They then instead had a council known as the 'senate' which ruled over them.
Rome's most famous citizen was Julius Caesar. He conquered the vast territory of the Gauls to the north of his province in France. His life though was ended when he was murdered in the senate in Rome. Other famous emperors included: Augustus, Rome's first emperor; Claudius, who conquered Britain; Nero, who was insane and is said to have burned down Rome while playing music; Trajan, under his rule the empire reached its greatest extent; Hadrian, he built 'Hadrian's Wall' in the north of Britain to shield the province from the northern barbarians; Diocletian, who split the empire into two pieces - a western and an eastern empire; Constantine, the first Christian emperor. He united the empire again chose his capital to be the small town Byzantium, which he renamed Constantinople. Constantine XI was the last emperor of Constantinople who died defending his great city against the Turks.
But what is generally referred to as 'the Fall of Rome' doesn't include the eastern empire. This, with its center in Constantinople, managed to cling on for almost another thousand years until it was eventually conquered by the Turks under their leader Mohammed II in the year AD 1453.
